Fame (Broadway at Duke, 8 p.m. Nov. 17 in Page Auditorium on Duke University’s West Campus in Durham, NC) is a SOLD-OUT dance musical inspired by the Oscar winning motion picture and the subsequent television series of the same name. Originally conceived and developed by David de Silva, with music by Steven Margoshes and lyrics by Jacques Levy, Fame is set in New York City’s famous High School of the Performing Arts. Fame follows 10 ethnically diverse students through a four-year course in which they hone their talents and test their determination to succeed in show business.
