If your events are not here, please share your offerings – or, preferably, your whole season – with us. These calendar listings are free!
Send in plain email text or as a simple Word attachment to events@cvnc.org. We will enter the events for you. We cannot work with PDFs, spreadsheets, info in tables, brochures, & photos. Please do not ask us to go to your website to extract the info we need – we won’t.
We will accept listings at any time, but those submitted within a week of the event may not be posted depending on other work demands. Corrections, changes, updates or last-minute schedule shifts due to weather, etc. are welcome anytime. Please ad SCHEDULE CHANGE to your subject line.
We select events to review from items in our calendar as of the 20th of the preceding month. We cannot consider last-minute events for review.
We do provide the opportunity to post previews of your performances; let us know if you are interested, and we’ll send you the details.
Thank you for partnering with us to publicize your work!
If your event has several performances, please call out specific dates & times in chronological order, one after the other. Be sure to denote performance times when they are different on specific days of the week (for example, matinee time on a Sunday).
The name of the concert hall, theatre, etc. If this is not a place we normally cover, please include the physical address and zip code. (This is so people can find the venue, so use the address you give package delivery folks even if your location has a main address that is remote from the hall – as some colleges and universities do.)
The name of your organization and/or the presenter of the event, in other words.
Ticket prices or free. If there are special rates for specific populations (youth or senior adults, large groups) or for groups of certain sizes, please include this.
We will post an event even if the presenter does not have a website, but remember that people looking at this calendar are doing so on computer and therefore may expect to be able to click on a link to you.
The name(s) of the solo artist(s) (include instrument(s)/voice type(s)) and performing ensemble(s) (if not the same as the presenter) or the principal artists involved. Don’t forget to name the director(s) / conductor(s) / choreographer(s) – including names of directors of choirs even when partnering with orchestras in programs conducted by others.
Who to call if readers have questions.
1) You may also include the title of the concert. 2) If you would like us to list the actual program, send it, arrayed as “composer: work; etc.” You may also include notes on lectures, receptions, masterclasses (even if not on the same day), other related events, etc. The Program block should contain only factual information. This is not to be a mini-preview.
