Born in Tokyo and refined in New York City’s vibrant jazz scene, Yayoi’s music embodies a rare fusion of jazz and classical brilliance, creating a sound both soulful and transformative. A graduate of The New School in New York City, Yayoi’s deep musical knowledge and technical mastery were honed alongside some of the greatest mentors in jazz. Her remarkable career includes collaborations with legends like Reggie Workman, Michael Carvin, and Howard Johnson, and her original compositions reflect lyrical depth and artistry that captivates audiences worldwide.
