A graduate of The New School in New York City, Yayoi’s deep musical knowledge and technical mastery were honed alongside some of the greatest mentors in jazz. Her remarkable career includes collaborations with legends like Reggie Workman, Michael Carvin, and Howard Johnson, and her original compositions reflect lyrical depth and artistry that captivates audiences worldwide.
