Dec. 17: We regret to report the death earlier today of Dr. Charles Weiss, of Carol Woods Retirement Community. He had turned 100 just ten days ago. He and Shirley were passionate arts enthusiasts whose generosity touched performing and presenting organizations across our nation. Their support of CVNC in its formative years helped establish a sound foundation for the online journal’s continuing work. RIP, Good Sir!
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. at Carol Woods Retirement Community, 750 Weaver Dairy Road, Chapel Hill.
