The bands of the Triangle Brass organization attended the North American Brass Band Association‘s annual competition April 6-7, 2018, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The Raleigh-based bands were represented in the band competition and the solo and ensemble competitions. All four bands placed in their respective sections, and individual honors were earned as well.

The Triangle Brass Band last placed in 2001, and last earned First place in 1989. The Triangle Brass organization features four bands: one adult band and three youth bands, with over 120 musicians, all told. This is one of the largest programs of its kind in the world.

The Triangle Brass Band will perform its National Championship program on May 20, at 4:00 p.m., at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh.

The Youth Bands will perform their final program for the season on May 13, 4:00 PM at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh. See our calendar for details.
