Salvationist Eric Ball’s masterpiece “Resurgam” (“I Shall Rise Again”) headlines a program of spiritual music sure to inspire the soul in ways only brass music can. Bookend it with the opening fanfare from Leos Janacek’s “Sinfonietta” and the “Finale” from Mahler’s “Resurrection” Symphony, and you will experience some of the greatest music set to paper.
Our featured soloists are Robin Gorham, Principal Tenor Horn, Triangle Brass Band, and Kent Foss, Professor of Trumpet at Campbell University. Kent will be performing Joseph Turrin’s “My Song of Songs” and “Maid of the Mist” by Herbert L. Clark on cornet. Our own Robin Gorham (Tenor Horn) will perform “The Piper O’Dundee” by Kenneth Downie and Peter Graham’s “A Time for Peace”.
