The Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival Presents Four Seasons in the Triangle

The Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival presents Four Seasons in the Triangle by hosting a multitude of international stars performing the music of Schubert, Brahms and Fauré on Saturday, February 9 at 8 p.m. at the Smedes-Emory Parlor of Saint Mary’s School.

The concert, presented in association with the Smedes Parlor Concert Series, will include Franz Schubert’s Rondo in D Major for Piano Four-Hands, D. 608; Johannes Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 26; and Gabriel Fauré’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 15.

This Four Seasons in the Triangle concert will feature internationally-renowned artists Robert McDonald (piano) of NYC; Keiko Sekino (piano) born in Japan, living in NC; Xiao-Dong Wang (viola) born in China, living in NYC; and Zvi Plesser (cello) of Israel. Four Seasons artistic director Ara Gregorian will join them on violin.

In residence at the East Carolina University School of Music, the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival is celebrating its 13th season. Highlights of past seasons include more than 97 public concerts, 254 master classes, two performances at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and a six-concert tour of Israel. This season features 11 concerts at East Carolina University, three concerts in New Bern, a concert in Raleigh, 27 public master classes and open rehearsals, Children’s Residency VI, Four Seasons Family Night, two Next Generation Concerts, the debut of Next Gen on the Road and a series of interactive outreach events.
