CHAPEL HILL – Community Clay Studio Summer Camp

    When:  Five two-week long sessions (several already full) beginning as early as June 16.  Sessions for ages 6-9 are offered from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Sessions for ages 9-13 are offered from 1:00 – 4:00 PM.
    What:  Half-day camps that offer fun and immersive experiences with clay led by studio instructors.  Art projects in other media will be offered while the clay is firing.  A snack and drink will be provided daily.

CHARLOTTE – Caroline Calouche & Co. Youth Summer Camps

  • Circus Camp: June 16-20 and July 7-11. Ages 6-12. 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. A camp designed to inspire creativity and confidence through building skills in the circus arts.  Classes in juggling, partner acro, hooping, tumbling, aerial sling, and trapeze.  Bring a lunch.
  • Aerial & Dance Camp: June 23-27 and July 14-18. Ages 6-12. 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Students learn to dance on the ground and in the air.  Classes in contemporary, ballet, jazz, improvisation, choreography, partnering hip-hop, aerial sling, and trapeze.

RALEIGH – Justice Theater Project – Youth Summer Theatre Camp
    When:  Weeks of July 7, 14, and 21; 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM  *Minimum two-week attendance*
    What:  Mornings are spent in age-appropriate groups rotating to music, art, yoga, creative drama, and dance.  In the afternoons, students will rehearse this year’s show, Disney’s Mulan, Jr.  Campers perform in two fully-mounted shows the evenings of July 24 and 25

    What:  Students learn techniques of movement, vocal production, and character study in the mornings and apply those techniques in rehearsing an original play in the afternoons, with a culminating production of that play created by the students themselves on Friday, June 27 at 7:00 PM.  Taught by Burning Coal’s Director of Education, Jon Fitts.
