Alvin Tyndall, longtime theater director at Stained Glass Playhouse and before that a manager of the Winston-Salem Symphony, has died. Some of us UNC folk go back a very long way with Alvin, who was in effect the manager of the UNC Men’s Glee Club during its very first European tour, in 1966. We will miss his genteel spirit and his enthusiasm for the arts. RIP, Dear Friend.
