To help ring in the New Year, Music for a Great Space brings you Trio Solisti – “the most exciting piano trio in America” (The New Yorker magazine). Trio Solisti will perform on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 7:30 pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 410 Holden Road, following a Music for a Great Space dinner fundraiser at Table 16 Restaurant.

Trio Solisti has earned a reputation for their “consistently brilliant” playing (The New York Times) and their “unrelenting passion and zealous abandon” (The Washington Post). The Trio is the founding ensemble of Telluride MusicFest in Telluride, CO, an annual chamber music festival that celebrates its tenth season in 2012. They have made critically acclaimed debuts at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center’s Great Performers Series, the Peoples’ Symphony Concerts Festival Series at Town Hall, the Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts, and at the Tuscan Sun Festival in Cortona, Italy. Trio Solisti performs at many festivals both as a trio and as individual guest artists, including Bravo! in Vail, Colorado, Caramoor and the Skaneateles Festival in New York State, Philip Glass’ Days and Nights Festival in California, the Amelia Island and Sanibel Island festivals in Florida, the Moab Festival in Utah, and Cape Cod Festival in Massachusetts.

This concert is the first Music for a Great Space project funded by Power2Give.org. A project of the United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, Power2Give.org empowers donors to give directly to local arts projects they are passionate about. Nonprofit organizations, like MGS, post projects that are in need of funding. Donors from all over the country made this concert a reality.
