The Greensboro Youth Chorus joins Music for a Great Space for an evening of classical and contemporary choral music. The Greensboro Youth Chorus consists of talented young singers in grades 1-12 from throughout the Piedmont Triad and annually performs at concerts, festivals, community events and competitions. The top choirs will perform on March 23, 2012 at 7:30 pm at Christ United Methodist Church, 410 Holden Road. Tickets for this event will be available at the door or in advance through the Carolina Theatre Box Office at (336) 333-2605 or www.carolinatheatre.com. Adults $18, seniors $15, student $5. Now celebrating its 24th season, the Greensboro Youth Chorus has participated in local, regional and international choral events including music conventions, camps and vocal method presentations. GYC has had many prestigious and exciting experiences including state, national and international competitions and festivals as well as collaborations with outstanding conductors, composers and instrumentalists. Their international tours include Kathaumixw International Choral Festival (Powell River, British Columbia), Central European Choral Festival (Germany and France) and the Canterbury Choral Festival (England). GYC has performed with the Greensboro Symphony, Greensboro Opera Company, UNCG Opera Theatre, and Bel Canto Company.
