A magical evening awaits this November with an all-Mozart extravaganza at the Greensboro Symphony! The second performance of the Tanger Outlets Masterworks Series, Magic of Mozart features GSO principal flutist Debra Reuter-Pivetta on Mozart’s Flute Concerto No. 1, plus the Overture to the hugely popular opera The Magic Flute and Mozart’s famous Symphony No. 39.Arguably classical music’s most famous composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is renowned for his ever-flowing melodies, beautifully delicate yet incredibly intricate counterpoint and the intense passion and drama that underpins each of his compositions. The three featured on this concert are no exception, feature dazzling spectacle from the flute soloist in his concerto, drama and humor laced in equal parts throughout The Magic Flute, and unquestionable mastery of the orchestral idiom in his Symphony No. 39.

The GSO’s Chamber concert on November 4th continues the Mozart theme, showcasing Debra Reuter Pivetta once again, alongside Dmitry Sitkovetsky and 10 other members of the GSO on Mozart’s Serenade No. 12 for Winds in C minor, as well as his Flute Quartet No. 1. Don’t miss another spectacular weekend with the Greensboro Symphony!
