One of the world’s biggest classical stars takes the stage in Greensboro this January, as the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra presents Pinchas Zukerman live in concert! Zukerman, widely considered one of the greatest violinists alive, will be joined onstage by his wife, cellist Amanda Forsyth. The pair will play Brahms’s famous Double Concerto for violin and cello, a piece brimming with excitement and one for which couple are well-known.

Making the evening even more special, Dmitry Sitkovetsky and Zukerman will perform one of the most recognizable pieces in the classical repertoire – the Bach Double Concerto for Two Violins. This performance marks the first time that Dima and Zukerman have shared the stage together, despite their impressive international careers. With three classical superstars playing some of the greatest concertos ever written, this is sure to be a concert experience like nothing Greensboro has seen!

Pinchas Zukerman has remained a phenomenon in the world of music for over four decades. His musical genius, prodigious technique and unwavering artistic standards are a marvel to audiences and critics. His enthusiasm for teaching has resulted in innovative programs throughout the world, and his name is equally respected as violinist, violist, conductor, pedagogue and chamber musician.

Canadian Juno Award-winning Amanda Forsyth is considered one of North America’s most dynamic cellists. She has achieved her international reputation as soloist, chamber musician and principal cell of Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra since 2008. Forsyth has performed with orchestras around the world and is also a founding member of the Zukerman Chamber Players.
