It’s a time for change in leadership at some of our leading NC orchestras. Grant Llewellyn has become MD Laureate as the NC Symphony‘s conductor search continues. Christoper Warren-Green is heading into his twelfth and final season with the Charlotte Symphony. And now Timothy Redmond has resigned (“effective immediately”) from his key role with the Winston-Salem Symphony, as that orchestra enters its 75th season. That leaves Greensboro with the only intact team among our leading symphonic ensembles here. And what do the departees have in common? All are British subjects.* Maybe someone should considering buying American at some point in the not-too-distant future….
