Paying tribute to The Athens Theatre’s origins as a variety theatre for Vaudeville and silent movies when built in 1911, NBCT presents New Bern Follies 2024. Come cheer on your favorite act as local talents from ENC sing, dance, and perform all sorts of acts for the show. It’s our local America’s Got Talent without those pesky judges. Who knows; your boss, teacher, nurse, cousin, dentist, sibling, spouse or ex might show up at center stage? It’s all part of the fun that has stirred the spirit of community theatre for decades.
