On Thursday, October 8, the Duke Wind Symphony, directed by Verena Mösenbichler-Bryant,will perform a concert in Baldwin Auditorium that includes Scott Lindroth’s newest work for wind ensemble, “Eternity’s Sunrise.” The program also includes Michael Markowski’s “joyRiDE,” Eric Whitacre’s “Cloudburst,” John Mackey’s “Hymn to a Blue Hour,” Steven Bryant’s “Dusk,” and David Maslanka’s “Give us this Day.”

Composer Scott Lindroth is Vice Provost for the Arts and Professor of Music at Duke University. “Eternity’s Sunrise” was commissioned by the Langley (VA) High School Band. After this performance at Duke, the Wind Symphony will travel to Washington, DC, to perform this piece in a joint concert with the Langley High School Band on October 12.
