Christ Church Raleigh’s Sacred Music on the Square Presents Requiem Aeternam: A Concert in Memory of the Fallen

Program Notes:
Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, Op. 48, is one of the most frequently performed works in all of classical music. Fauré wrote “that I see death…as an aspiration towards happiness above, rather than as a painful experience,” and so his Requiem is a musical expression of faith in the delights of eternal rest. The Christ Church Choirs offer this performance in memory of all from our parish who have died.
