Chamber Music Wilmington presents its second concert of the season on October 21st, 2012 at 7:30 PM at Beckwith Recital Hall, UNCW Cultural Arts Building.

This season’s series, as always, showcases wonderful music played by an international cast of outstanding artists and ensembles. The theme for this season is “MUSIC AMONG FRIENDS” and to bring a feeling of intimacy to our concerts we’re having “Meet the Artists” talks prior to the performances at 6:45 PM and refreshments will be served at intermissions. So come early, bring friends, and enjoy a wonderful evening of music. See below for ticket information.

The Cavani Quartet has become famous for its dynamic and irresistible presence on stage since winning the nation’s highest chamber music award, the Naumberg, and attaining residency in one of America’s top music schools, the Cleveland Institute. The program includes music of Joaquin Turina –  The Bullfighter’s Prayer, Bela Bartok’s String Quartet No. 1, and Robert Schumann’s String Quartet in A Minor Opus 41, No. 1
