The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle takes to the road for a special guest recital at Elon University’s McCrary Theatre on March 1. The performance, part of the Mary Duke Biddle Chamber Recital Series, begins at 7:30 p.m. Under the direction of Conductor and Artistic Director, Lorenzo Muti, The COT continues its legacy of presenting a unique repertoire that includes works rarely performed.
The program for this performance includes:
o Arthur Honegger – Pastorale d’ete
o Franz Joseph Haydn – Symphony no. 96 in D major “The Miracle”
o Bedrich Smetana – “Oh how much suffering!” from the Bartered Bride
o Antonin Dvorak – “Song to the Moon” from Rusalka (Featuring Andrea Moore, Soprano)
o Robert Ward – Symphony no.3
