Our friend Nancy Malitz, writing for Classical Voice North America from the Windy City, notes an important concert, coming up in Chapel Hill on March 18. The program features music by Pierre Boulez, the distinguished French composer, conductor, and new-music firebrand whose interpretive skills have been widely celebrated in the US (in Cleveland, New York, and Chicago) and who turns 90 on March 26. Now we get to hear a generous serving-up of his music, played by the exceptional pianists Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich.
