North Carolina Master Chorale presents “Street Requiem”

Moore Square 200 S. Blount St., Raleigh, NC, United States

The Chorale and Youth Choir combine forces to sing "Street Requiem", a work written by Australian composer Kathleen McGuire in collaboration with Andy Payne and Jonathon Welch, in order to bring attention to those who suffer from housing insecurity and to honor those who have died on the streets. The composers set English, African, and Persian texts in multiple musical styles, including contemporary, gospel, and indigenous. This moving and uplifting work invites both performers and listeners to contemplate and address this significant social issue together as a community. Admission: $0.00 - $30.00
