Music for a Great Space will be presenting several wonderful musicians in the Greensboro area as part of the Women's Woodwind Ensemble. Erika Boysen, flute; Mary Ashley Barret, oboe; Kelly Burke, clarinet; Rebecca Libera, bassoon; Abigail Pack, horn; Inara Sandman, piano- all professors from UNC Greensboro and Duke. The ensemble is commissioning a work by Robin McLaughlin as their piece written by a female composer for the Season of Women in Music.
Conducted by Mark Norman. Celebrated soprano Lindsay Kesselman joins the UNCSA Wind Ensemble to perform Songs From the End of the World by John Mackey with text by A. E. Jaques.
New Year, New You? The Wilmington Symphonic Winds welcomes 2024 with a program that embraces the TRANSFORMATIONS happening around us, to us, and within us all. The Triangle Youth Philharmonic Woodwind Quintet will perform songs from everyone's favorite movies, as well as some classic woodwind pieces. All are welcome! This concert features standard overhead lighting, a designated quiet space, sensory fidgets, and the opportunity for audience members to get up and move around as needed. Register to attend here.
