This preview has been provided by Tiny Engine Theatre.

Tiny Engine is proud to open its first full theatrical season with the Triangle premiere of Eliza Clark’s Recall, a dark and futuristic fable that TheaterMania called “Richly written, terribly intense, vividly imagined.” Clark’s works include the play Edgewise, produced at New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre, along with her writing for such TV series as Rubicon, The Killing, and Extant.

The story: Lucy makes people uncomfortable. There’s something about her eyes. There’s something about the way her mother’s boyfriends keep disappearing. And there’s something about the government agents on her trail. Set in a near-future America, Recall explores our need to feel loved and secure—no matter the damage, no matter the cost.

Tiny Engine’s production of Recall features Kirsten Ehlert, Natalie Izlar, Gerald Jones III, Amanda Scherle, and Lazarus Simmons. Izlar and Jones III most recently co-starred in Lauren Gunderson’s I and You at Manbites Dog Theatre. Ehlert and Simmons most recently appeared in Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor at NRACT. With set design by John Paul Middlesworth, lighting design by Paul Paliyenko, and original music by Chris Frain.
