Conductor Fouad Fakhouri, who completed a ten-year stint with the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra (NC’s oldest community orchestra) on Apr. 16, has been appointed Music Director of the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra in Michigan. Readers with long memories here will recall that the late Patrick J. Flynn, who helped the NC Symphony over its post-Gosling transition, was MD at Saginaw at the time of his death in 2008.

Details of Fakhouri’s appointment are here.
