Four Writing Prompts: The Beginning of Four New Stories or Poems

In addition to being a fiddler (with nine CDs), Ken Waldman is a former college professor with an MFA in Creative Writing. He has eight full-length poetry collections, a memoir (about his life as a touring artist), a children's book, and over 400 of his stories and poems have appeared in such journals as Poet Lore, Beloit Poetry Journal, and Quarterly West. A former Carrboro and Hillsborough resident, this will be his first Orange County public appearance in over decade. He'll be spending four days working in area public schools, in addition to his March 22nd writing workshop and his March 23rd concert, where he will be joined by multi-instrumentalists Riley Baugus, Adam Tanner, and Cary Moskovitz for a stellar evening of traditional music.
