Paul Cranford is a renowned fiddler, composer and music publisher. Originally from Toronto, he moved to the Canadian province of Nova Scotia in 1975, and worked as a lighthouse keeper for thirty-four years. During those years, he had the opportunity to travel around Cape Breton, learning Scottish, Irish and Cape Breton tunes from many older musicians.

As both an investigation and mechanical process, NC State University interdisciplinary arts students (ARS414) will be exhibiting a variety of new works: performances, happenings, poetry and sound, in the spirit of the Fluxus paradigm. Different in intention from Dadaism, Fluxus is a creative paradigm for artistic activity that offers a system of creative production in which one considers what one has created, the media one has used, and the effect this creation has in the external world.
