This preview has been provided by the North Carolina Symphony.

The North Carolina Symphony will present “Death and the Maiden” at Kings, 14 West Martin St., in downtown Raleigh, Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at 9 p.m. The performance, which is the first venture of its kind for the North Carolina Symphony, features Symphony musicians Karen Strittmatter Galvin, violin, Jackie Wolborsky, violin, Amy Mason, viola and Nathaniel Yaffe, cello, joined by the visionary young producer/artist blursome, in a re-imagining of Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden,” creating a unique experience that harnesses all the dark, churning power of Schubert’s music, in a completely modern context.

The concert represents an exciting collaboration between outstanding local artists and orchestra musicians. The cover charge is $10 in advance and $12 at the door.  For more information, go to www.ncsymphony.org.
