This preview has been provided by the Hickory Choral Society.
The Hickory Choral Society hopes to expand the joy of holiday music through a premier Holiday Concert aimed specifically for elementary-aged children throughout the Unifour area. The concert, entitled Cookies and Carols, is supported in part by the United Arts Council of Catawba County through the North Carolina Arts Council, with funding from the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art and with a gift from Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company.
This concert will offer a fun and interactive musical experience for children and their families at Corinth Reformed Church, 150 16th Avenue Northwest, Hickory on Saturday, December 8, at 11 am. Children will be able to sing along with members of the Hickory Choral Society, as well as percussionists and orchestra. Through this free concert, HCS plans to engage young families throughout the community in a lively celebration and love of music!
This morning concert will be less than an hour in length, featuring familiar carols, sing-alongs and even a few surprises. And it’s totally interactive, with your children or grandchildren as participants alongside members of the HCS and the orchestra. We cannot think of a more perfect way to add to the start of the Christmas season by the addition of this concert to your Holiday concert schedule.
