This preview has been provided by the Greensboro Symphony.
Bringing together radio hits and the classic sound of Doo Wop, The Doo Wop Project presents a journey through the music of The Four Seasons, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and more, while “Doo Wop-ifying” modern hits by Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz, and Adele! Featuring current and former stars of Broadway’s smash hits Jersey Boys and Motown: The Musical, the Doo Wop Project brings unparalleled authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to recreate — and in some cases entirely reimagine — some of the greatest music in American pop and rock history.
Having recently made their symphonic world-premiere with the Indianapolis Symphony in 2016, The Doo Wop Project has quickly become one of the most sought-after symphony acts in the country, playing halls from coast to coast and performing with the Jacksonville and Detroit Symphonies later this year.
The group, comprised of current and former stars of Broadway’s hits Jersey Boys and Motown the Musical, includes Dominic Nolfi, Charl Brown, Russell Fischer, Dominic Scaglione Jr., Dwayne Cooper, and Sony Paladino. Founder of the group, Dominic Nolfi, is known for his roles in Broadway shows such as Motown; the Musical and Jersey Boys and can be heard on the Grammy Award winning Jersey Boys Soundtrack.
The Doo Wop Project is soon headed to sing with the Detroit and Jacksonville Symphonies but you can catch them first here with the Greensboro Symphony at Westover Church!
