( Thu., Jul. 4, 2013 )

Performed by Cary Town Band; NC Symphony (Matthew Troy, conductor)

Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary, NC 27518

A good, old-fashioned salute to the red, white and blue.  The Cary Town Band opens the evening at 5:45 PM with a play-in-the-park concert of patriotic music, popular music, some famous Broadway recollections, and more.  Then, at 7:30 PM, hear patriotic favorites and high-spirited classics as the NC Symphony honors the USA on its birthday. Opening the program with the National Anthem and narrating “Liberty for All” with the Symphony will be Miss NC 2012, Arlie Honeycutt. Come early and grab the best seats for the area’s biggest Fourth of July fireworks display.

At 3:00 PM the boats from the Capital Model Boat Club will set sail on Symphony Lake.  Also, throughout the evening, there will be an array of contests, magicians, a video gaming truck, and more.

Free, no ticket required
