*"The Merce Cunningham Dance Company - founded in Black Mountain, North Carolina, in 1953 - will perform its last ever North Carolina performances at the Durham Performing Arts Center.... This special presentation is the first time that Duke Performances has set a performance in DPAC."

"In addition to the two performances at DPAC, we are happy to host a slate of free and open-to-the-public artist-in-residence events with the company, including a performance and discussion on Thursday, February 3, at Reynolds Theater. During the February 3 performance and discussion, discounted tickets will be available at the Duke box office to Friday and Saturday performances: $15 off any ticket and $10 tickets for all area students.

2. 2/4: Merce Cunningham Dance Company Masterclass with MCDC Director of Choreography Robert Swinston - The Ark Studio, Duke's East Campus, 10 am. Free.
3. 2/4: Merce Cunningham and the Myth of Postmodern Dance - Music Lecture: Tamara Levitz (UCLA) Mary Duke Biddle Music Building, Room 101, Duke's East Campus, 4 pm.  Free."
