About nuVoices for a nuGeneration:
For the past three years, Actor's Theatre of Charlotte has worked to develop and fund this annual new play festival. With the intention of honoring and encouraging up and coming playwrights of the American Theatre, Actor's Theatre of Charlotte selected four works to participate in the festival with three goals in mind: to celebrate and cultivate new plays by emerging American playwrights, to incubate professional artistic talent in the Charlotte Region, and to educate the public on the process of taking new plays from page to stage. At the end of the four day festival, the audience favorite will be invited by the Theatre for a full production as a part of Actor's Theatre of Charlotte's 25th season. nuVoices for a nuGeneration is made possible through a grant from The Women's Impact Fund.
