Program

This performance commemorate the work’s 10th anniversary, and will include choreography by Eva Peterson for the Hickory Ballet & Performing Arts.

Cory Westby, Director of Music of Episcopal Church of the Ascension and Lenoir-Rhyne University Adjunct Professor of Music, will play organ. The boy soprano soloist will be Brody Aiken, an 8th grade student at Mill Creek Middle School who lives in Sherrills Ford, the soprano soloist will be choir member Alexandria McNeely, Music Instructor at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, and the tenor soloist will be Tyler Young, Visiting Assistant Professor of Music at Appalachian State University. 

Notes

The Hickory Choral Society raised its collective voice for the first time in 1978, touching music lovers in the Catawba Valley with the spirit of song. Today, some 110 singers blend their voices in harmony, brought together by a common devotion to musical excellence.
