Program
A Joint Performance by the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and JCSU Concert Choir, Led by Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees, Solo Performances by JCSU Director of Choral Activities Dr. Shawn-Allyce Whit. This uplifting program will feature works by a diverse range of composers including Symphony No. 2 by French Creole virtuoso violinist and composer Joseph Bologne, the Chevalier de SaintGeorge; Lift Every Voice and Sing by American composer and arranger of African-American spiritual music Hall Johnson; Jessica Meyer’s Slow Burn; and La La La La by Haitian-American composer Daniel Bernard Roumain. The JCSU Drumline will close the concert with a special performance.
