Program

During the NCMA’s opening weekend, the DOH’s Research and Development Office is holding conversations with Museum visitors and offering opportunities for written reflection about the reinstallation, museum practices, and rehumanizing museum spaces.

Stacey L. Kirby will be in the office Sunday, October 9, 10 am–4 pm.

In the spring of 2023, Kirby will present a new interactive performance art piece titled The Department of Humanity in response to the reinstallation of the NCMA’s collection, more recently referred to as the People’s Collection. As part of her creative process for the new work, Kirby has been holding on-site weekly interactions with Museum visitors, docents, and staff in addition to archives research.
