Experience a lush cello ensemble sound in works by Antonín Dvořák, Marcus Norris, Astor Piazzolla, with a special appearance by R&B singer-songwriter Nia J featuring arrangements of her original songs "Rabbit Hole" and "Meadow View."

This features Charlotte Symphony section members Sarah Markle, Jeremy Lamb, and Marlene Ballena and acting Symphony members Drew Dansby and Denielle Wilson in a 5-part cello ensemble. Denielle will also be featured in the slow movement of Dvorak's cello concerto arranged for soloist and cello quartet.

All concerts are free to the public and are held in the sanctuary of Myers Park Presbyterian Church. The Myers Park Summer Series consists of 6 free innovative chamber music concerts from May 16 - June 27, featuring Charlotte Symphony musicians and other young talented performers. 100% of proceeds will go toward mutual aid group Feed the Movement CLT, a volunteer-run mutual aid fund that directly goes to Black trans women and the unhoused community in Charlotte.

Free rides to any of the concerts are available via the Myers Park Summer Series Facebook page.
