Program

Recent winner of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, Dr. Henry Kramer is a veteran of many international competitions, including the 2016 Queen Elisabeth Competition, where he won Second Prize.  Two masterpieces, Beethoven’s late sonata Op. 109 and Ravel’s Le Tombeau de  Couperin, serve as bookends for the recital.  In between will come Danzas Argentinas by Ginastera, Three Visions by William Grant Still, and Caspar PM by harpist/composer Hannah Lash.  Caspar PM, which was commissioned by Dr. Kramer, is a companion piece to Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit.  Dr. Kramer appears courtesy of Astral Artists.
