Out to Lunch by Cayla Clark: Ted, an emo 20-something with a pension for protests and frozen pizza, finds himself in a fever dream one afternoon after lamenting alone in his bedroom for the 50th time that day. He has a deep and emotionally stirring conversation with an unboxed pepperoni pie (a disembodied voice, maybe God) who speaks to him about purpose, passion and finding meaning in life.

The Cleaning Ladies by The Cardboard Sea: Marie Antoinette and Medusa only have one thing in common - having their heads chopped off by the men who maligned them. But now they’re teaming up to fight their way out of hell by retrieving a stolen artifact from a mad professor back on Earth.

Given the recommendations from the Buncombe County Health department and the rise in the COVID-19 positivity rate, the Asheville Fringe Festival will continue with its scheduled Online Live! and Online Films on the weekend of January 27-30, but postpone its in-person shows and events until March 24-27. This includes the kick-off party/benefit for Sly Grog, scheduled for Sunday, January 16th. The new date for the SlyGrog Benefit at LEAF Global Arts is March 6th.

Tickets can be bought through the Asheville Fringe Arts Festival website starting January 1st.

This event is also available as an online livestream.
