Program

Join us as we celebrate 30 Years of Music for a Great Space and honor our founders Henry and Lucy Ingram.  Our February concert, the Ingram Memorial Concert, features an organist well-known to Greensboro.

Music for a Great Space was formed around the Fisk Op. 82 organ housed at Christ United Methodist Church.  Henry and Lucy Ingram wanted to create a series to feature this special instrument in a concert setting.  This Friday evening, we present André Lash as he reunites with the Fisk for this special program.

As if this all isn't celebration enough, MGS has also commissioned a piece by composer (and former MGS performer) Rachel Laurin!  Named Toccata for a Great Space, this piece celebrates our 30th Year and remembers Henry Ingram.

Notes

MGS is moving to a Pay What You Can system, but the concert is available for free as well if you choose to support at another time.  If you have any issues with any of this process you can call or email for assistance.

The waiting room will open at 7pm and the concert will begin at 7:30pm. We will be offering a live Q&A session with Andre and Rachel immediately following the concert so you can ask questions about the music, the organ, or anything else that comes to mind!
