Here a theorbo, there a theorbo...Everywhere a Theorbo! The theorbo, a long-necked, lute-like Baroque instrument, rarely gets its due. No longer! Mallarmé presents a concert featuring the impressive instrument with guest theorbist William Simms performing music of the early Baroque. Concert also features artists David Wilson, violin; and Gail Ann Schroeder and Brent Wissick, viola da gamba and is the opening event to the 2020 NC HIP Music Festival (HIP = historically-informed performance) taking place during the month of February.
