Performed by North Carolina Symphony; Wesley Schulz, conductor
South Lawn, Tryon Palace, 610 Pollock Street, New Bern, NC 28562-5614
At this summer’s free program, NCS Associate Conductor Wesley Schulz will lead the Symphony in some of the most fun, upbeat, and recognizable moments in classical music, from Rossini’s William Tell Overture, to Offenbach’s “Can-Can,” to selections from Bernstein’s West Side Story.
As North Carolina’s state orchestra, NCS is committed to making orchestral music performances of the highest artistic quality accessible to all North Carolinians. The opportunity to experience a performance by the state’s premiere arts organization at no cost, in a relaxed atmosphere, makes for a perfect night out for families and friends. At the outdoor performances, concertgoers are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics to enjoy as the Symphony performs.
In New Bern, the Symphony will host a fundraising supper in support of music education programming in Craven County. For details, visit the website.
