Set in a wedding chapel in Las Vegas, the play presents four hilarious vignettes exploring love, marriage, and the ethos – plus occasional pathos – of the Elvis-infused Vegas wedding industry. You’ll meet Sandy, the sarcastic-but-weary chapel proprietor who has herself been divorced three times and married four. Sandy can’t leave Ken (again), as he also happens to be her sole employee – he’s the Elvis-impersonating minister who performs the wedding ceremonies at Sandy’s Chapel of Love. Fortunately for Sandy, John, the Elvis impersonator who works next door, and Lou, the long-retired Elvis impersonator hoping for work again, are there to help – if that’s what you’d call what they do.
Arts Access will provide audio description for the visually impaired during the performance on Sunday, May 5.
Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for students and seniors; tickets at the door are $22 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. The rate for groups of eight or more is $17.
