Charlotte’s Off-Broadway’s next theater project is a production of a new play called CONFIDENCE (and The Speech), written by Susan Lambert Hatem. In the tradition of Arthur Miller and Aaron Sorkin, CONFIDENCE uses President Jimmy Carter’s 1979 'Crisis of Confidence' speech as a jumping off point for a far-ranging exploration of a country in crisis, the confidence needed to lead, and women in politics.
