We have it on good authority that Dr. Wes Parker – director of jazz studies – is super excited about this concert. On Saturday, for the first time, NC State Music will be hosting the middle and high school NC All State Jazz Clinic – and the top NC State ensembles will provide the grand finale. The amazing drummer Bryan Carter is a clinician for the jazz clinic, and will be working and performing with the NC State jazz students as well. The concert will feature several new compositions by the NC State Jazz Combo that will be included in the group’s first full-length recording session in May.
