18th-century Paris was the source of things new from fashion to music. Clerambault developed the genre of the "French cantata" of which he was the uncontested master. In his cantata “L’Ile de Délos”  the goddess of harmony is able to combine wisdom with pleasure. Other works include rarely heard Clerambault and Jacquet de la Guerre trios. Musically, Paris was the place to be. John Pruett, baroque violin joins for this performance
