A festival honoring Ignacy Jan Paderewski, the celebrated Polish pianist, composer, and political figure who performed in Raleigh and Durham several times between the two world wars.
Saturday’s concert features Emil Reinert, winner of the Leschetizky Competition in Hamburg, Germany, on the 100th anniversary of the death of the great Polish pianist and composer Theodor Leschetizky, who was Paderewski’s principal teacher. Sunday’s recital features renowned concert pianist John Perry, a professor at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
