Program

The festival has commissioned five original one-act plays, by six North Carolina playwrights including "Property" by Dana Coen, "The Fire of Freedom" by Howard Craft, "Linnaeus Forgets" by Marianne Gingher and Debby Seabrooke, "Saints Have Mothers" by Jane Holding, and "Life Without Water" by Michael Smith. Four of the plays are adaptations of works by North Carolina authors including David Cecelski, Fred Chappell, Allan Gurganus, and Nancy Peacock.
