Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: Danse Negre; Beethoven: Symphony No. 2; Ralph Vaughn Williams: English Folk Song Suite; Paul Creston: Concerto for Alto Saxophone; Sibelius: Violin Concerto in D Minor, Op 47: 1st mvt; Walton Concerto for Viola and Orchestra:, 1st mvt; & Victor Herbert: American Fantasy (partially replacing music by Joplin/ T.J. Anderson & Piston, previously announced).

 

 

 

 



 

Notes

Note: This DSO concert  will feature a short tribute to the memory of long-time conductor and music director Alan Neilson and a performance of the Second Symphony of Beethoven, a composer he especially loved.
