Unique perspectives of four noted female prime movers (Cunard, Fauset, Larsen, Hurston) during the Harlem Renaissance, revealing their ambitions, longings, resentments, the inequities women confronted and illuminating the brilliant work they created during these vibrant rich times. Not having seen one another in over twenty years, they gather at the Hotel Theresa after the funeral of Alain Locke.
