those affected by Helene in rural Ashe county. During the concert, there will also be an opportunity to donate to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund, which works with the United Way of North Carolina to help meet the needs of Hurricane Helene victims.
The Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble (TYJE) and the Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra (HOCJO), both under the direction of Dr. Gregg Gelb, will be holding a free benefit concert at Greystone Baptist Church to assist with relief efforts for those in western North Carolina who have been affected by Hurricane Helene. The award-winning TYJE features students in grades 9-12 and has been a finalist for Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Essentially Ellington Festival; Competition 8 times. The HOCJO has been captivating audiences throughout central NC since 1991 with the classic swing and elegance of big
band jazz. Each band will play a 30-40 minute set in a family-friendly and casual atmosphere.

Greystone Baptist Church is located at 7509 Lead Mine Rd., which is at the intersection of Lead Mine Rd. and Sawmill Rd. The church has parking lots off of each road. Parking will be available in each lot, and please note that the main entrance is most easily accessible from the Sawmill lot.
